STRIVE Names Three New Members to Its Board of Directors
STRIVE International, a leading national workforce development nonprofit based in New York City, announced the appointment of three new members to its board of directors. STRIVE welcomed to its Board George W. Brooks, Bonnie Howard and Tonia O’Connor.

George W. Brooks is Americas Leader, People Advisory Services, at Ernst & Young LLP. With over 30 years of international consulting experience, George has earned a reputation as one of the foremost innovators and thought leaders in the Human Resources service sector. Driven by his distinctive vision, tireless work ethic and deep commitment to people, George led the transformation of EY’s former Human Capital business model into a vastly modernized, more robust and technologically savvy Americas People Advisory Services practice.
Tonia O’Connor serves as Chief Commercial Officer and President of Content Distribution for Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), reporting directly to the CEO. In this role, she drives the Company’s content distribution efforts across all screens, including online and mobile. She leads UCI’s Enterprise Development efforts to expand its content availability and licensing revenue by securing key partnerships and new business models with both traditional and emerging content distributors.
Bonnie Howard is an Independent board director of Assured Guaranty, Ltd., the leading provider of financial guaranty insurance; BMO Financial Corp., the holding company for Bank of Montreal’s U.S. businesses, and BMO Harris Bank N.A., a diversified financial institution with over $98 billion in assets. She previously served as Citigroup Chief Auditor and Global Head of Control and Emerging Risk. In these roles, she led a team of up to 1500 professionals covering $1.9 trillion of assets in over 100 countries during a challenging economic cycle.
